Well, ever since I gave notice and set the date to head back to the Big E...My social life has never been busier... GO FIGURE :o)
My friends and I are trying to hang out with each other as much as we can before I leave. I'm trying to balance work, selling some furniture, packing, working out and not head for the looney bin.
One of the things on my list was to experience the Gay Pride parade for one last time... Took my camera and wished just for one moment in time - I was a man.. My lord ...lol
A lady was handing out condoms and walked right past me.... Now I know I may look like a lesbian, and have 'fuck off' written on my forehead...but hey...WTF???? I had to stop her and ask her, ummmm can I have one please !!! lol...
Meanwhile back at the apartment, I've got 2 giant size stuffed animals thanks to my 17 year old nephew and his friend. My nephew was up from Edmonton and staying with his friend in Oakville when they decided to go to Wonderland and win stuffed animals for their girlfriends - not realizing that they can't bring them back on the plane. So Auntie Lala now has to bring them back in her moving truck.
The next few weeks will get even busier as I try and get as much from my insurance company as I can... Eye doctor appointment, Dentist and Massage Therapy. Plus, have a girls night in on the 31st with 2 of my friends. FYI..I hope the stuffed animals don't get violated that night.
I guess what I've learned from all of this... treasure each day you have with your friends and family. For the past how many years, we've been putting off doing things together because "there is alwasy next weekend".... ENJOY LIFE NOW.... and appreciate the people in your life, because you just never know when you'll see them next.
